We didn't see them on the way in, but on the way home they were there. My guess probably a couple hundred elk and with the close up look I needed three shots to cover the herd. The first shot they were mostly lying down and the bottom shot they were on the move. It's really neat to be able to see these animals even if they are quite a ways from the road.
